The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) proudly announced today that Kelowna has been selected as the host city for Country Music Week 2025 and the 2025 CCMA Awards presented by TD.
This marks the first time the event takes place in Kelowna and only the third time it's been hosted in BC. Country Music Week was created in 1977 to increase awareness and exposure for Canada's country music artists. Over the years, the event has grown and evolved. Today, Country Music Week is made up of three distinct components: a music festival, a music industry conference, and the televised awards show, which is Canada's biggest night in country music.

The city’s unique charm, complemented by its urban energy, will showcase the best in Canadian country music.”
Events of this calibre offer a welcome economic boost for the local community, building up visitation during months when availability is higher. Country Music Week 2025 is forecast to generate over 2,000 room nights (not counting fans or families), resulting in an estimated economic impact of over $11 million in Kelowna and BC. Country Music Week 2023, held in Hamilton, saw an economic impact of $11.2 million, with over $1.2 million in tax revenues. Over 80% of the attendees were from out of the region and travelled to Hamilton for the event.
As thousands of people descend upon Kelowna, the Cultural District will come alive with music and excitement as events occur across multiple venues during the four-day music festival. Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy live performances by some of the biggest names in country music and be introduced to a new generation of up-and-coming talent. The week will be capped off with the 2025 CCMA Awards presented by TD, which will take place at Prospera Place.

2025 is gearing up to be an exciting year for residents and businesses in Kelowna. Two of the largest events in Canada are being held in the city, with Canada's premier curling event, the Montana's Brier, taking place in March 2025 and now Country Music Week in September 2025. In addition to attending these events, visitors to our region will explore restaurants, eateries, and coffee shops, share tastings at breweries and wineries, and visit local attractions
Both events were secured in part through Tourism Kelowna's Major Events Strategy in partnership with the City of Kelowna. This collaboration positioned Kelowna as the perfect host for the 2025 Country Music Week, with our team assisting in preparing the bid document, securing funding, and nurturing key relationships with the Canadian Country Music Association, Creative BC, the Province of BC, and key local stakeholders.
